PowerArchiver 2018 features an exclusive compression format, the Advanced Codec Pack (.PA format). It has been optimized for multicore processors and 64-bit systems (including multi-core extraction). It has superior compression compared to 7z, RAR and ZIPX, with special compressors for JPG, MP3, TXT, EXE, DOCX, PDF, and more. PA format even has de-deduplication filter that works to reduce the size of similar files. PA format exclusively uses FIPS 140-2 validated encryption components.
